At the start, I was determined to win. I knew I could win, because every morning at camp at 6am we went for a run and I was always first back.
When the beeper went, everybody sprinted but me, so I wouldn't blow my energy out at the start. Mat was ahead of me at the start, but when I went past him, he just faded.
In the last lap, I started to get the stitch, but I kept running hard and I WON!
When I heard fans (my family) cheering for me, I ran faster. I was happy because I thrashed the Year 7 boys and achieved my goal.
